Richards in New York yes terday was received In Augusta with sadness. Judge Richards was well-known in Augusta, where he had visited lor years and years on business trips when he was a Iry goods drummer, handling laces and embroideries. Of late years he has retired, having massed a considerable fortune. His brother, Joe Richards, makes Augusta his headquarters and Is iter - now, and his sister, Mrs. John Slide of Birmingham, Ala., lihs gone on to New York to accompany the re mains South. I! is very probable that Judge Richards will be burled here, as he had frequently ex pressed that desire. Atlanta seems to hftvo a matri monial corner on Augusta girls. A week or two ago the marriage of I{’sb Louise Howard and Mr Wil liam King was announced. This week, Wednesday, the marriage of Mrs Kiln Wright Wilcox and Mr. Philips Barbour Will occur, and to day t te Interesting announcement Is made of the approaching mar riage August first of Miss Ruth Howard and Mr. Robert Parks Glower.
