It was estimated ! that $75,000 would bo required to pro- j vide furniture and apparatus of ev- | ery kind for the hospitals. At the meeting yesterday a sub-committee composed of Drs, W. C. Lyle, T. R. Wright and J. M. Caldwell was ap pointed to submit another report so as to curtail if possible, without interfer ing with efficiency, the amount need ed for furnishing the hospitals. The University Hospitals have cost a great deal of money and the special committee will endeavor to let the city down ns light as possible in the matter of furniture, etc., to he con- | sistent with the proper service.
