Harde man, of Louisville, was declared the win ner hy 1.08 plurality. If Bulloch's vote is thrown out Harde man will get nomination and the four Slaton delegates will not go to the state convention. Seattle, Wash.—Details of a war scare at Prince Rupert., B. C., last week when a report was circulated H at the German cruiser Leipzig was about to bombard the town were brought here by the American steam-/ ship Spokane, which arrived yester day. The Spokane put In at Prince Ru pert. Friday when excitement over the reported attack was at Its height. The wharf was lined with armed sol diers. After the Spokane was permit ted to dock seven passengers holding tickets for Prince Rupert were per mitted lo land only after careful in vestigation.
