SEASON SERIES

Easily, Five to Two.
Savannah. —Mixing hits with errors
by the visitors Savannah evened up
the post-season series for the South
Atlantic league championship with
Albany yesterday by winning easily,
5 to 2, both of the visitors’ runs com
ing In the ninth.
Causey outpitched Wiley all the way
and received the better support. Four
hits in the ninth with a bad throw by
Zimmerman enabled the visitors to
break their long string of goose eggs,
but came too late to place them even
close to victory.
Manager Lipe was presented with
a handsome steamer trunk, a gift from
his players, when he came to bat the
first time. Mayer's triple in the sev
enth sent over two of the locals’ five
runs.
