Over half the fabrics used in the making of a Dress, come from France and Germany. The raw wool on domestic manufactures comes from England, their dye stuffs from Germany. Imports from those countries have almost stopped. The chief source of supply for Flax, the raw material from which Linens are made, is Russia and Belgium. The crop this year is unavailable, which will increase the cost of Linens. Gloves, Hosiery, Laces and Trimmings, especially in the better grades, all come from Germany and France. Soon the demand for these goods will exceed the supply, which necessarily means higher price. NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO BUY Why? Because we were fortunate enough to have the greater part of our imported goods landed on this side be fore the war broke out. These goods were purchased six months ago, at the then prevailing low prices. Since We Paid No Advanced Prices, We Will Not Ask Advanced Prices We take this opportunity of acquainting our customers with the merchandise situation, suggesting to them the ad visability of supplying their Fall merchandise needs early. The greater part of our Fall stocks are in, and we offer a splendid selection in all Fall and Winter Goods.
