THE AUGUSTA HERALD, AUGUSTA', GA.
ed. This m«etlng pledges Iteelf to re
duce the cotton acreage to ten acres to
each plow, provided this is adopted gen
erally, during the year 1915 and, we
hereby, pledge ourselves to see that this
Is carried out to the letter, so far as
possible, and favor legislation to this ef
fect, as we fully realize the fact that
this country has got to reduce the crop
and that there are many people who wll;
increase their acreage unless prevented
by law or otherwise. We pledge our
hearty support and co-operation to those
that have purchased distress cotton at
10 cents a pound, and we each, hereby
agree not to sell a bale of cotton for
less than 10 cents a pound.
“We hereby agree to make the suits
against any member of this organiza
tion that is directed with a view to forc
ing the sale of cotton, our suit and to
stand by him and to pay all attorney’s
fees and court cost, and to give his
cause our active and earnest support.
“We eondem, in no mild form the po
sition taken by the oil mill interest of
this country in forcing us to sell our
seed at bankrupt prices in order to pb
tain money to gather our crops and live
on. We pledge ourselves to refuse to
pay our fertilizer bills unless allowed 10
cents a pound for our cotton, as prac
tically all the commercial fertilizer used
enter Into the production of cotton and
as the manufacturers have now. and
have for years, had large profits in the
sale of these goods, we see no reason
why we should not be allowed cost for
our cotton In payment of these debts.
“We condemn the action of the cotton
mills in the United States for refusing
to purchase supplies of cotton and there
by help to finance the present crop. We
condemn, most severely, those national
thanks that have received emergency
currency and used the same to retire
their bills payable account.
“We heartily commend the secretary
of the treasury for his action in putting
the notional banking interest on notice
that they will be expected to do their
full duty to the people in this time of
dire distress and that they will be held
accountable for the use of such funds
as are furnlsned for crop-moving.
“We fully realize that .the South will
suffer most from the European war and
It becomes the duty of every man to
protect first his creditors by conserving
ids resources and then to plant and
raise during the coming season such
crops as will make him self-supporting.
“The scretary is requested to furn
ish a copy of these proceedings to the
Associated Press, with a request that
they be furnished all papers in the Unit
ed States.
“Whereas, It has come to the knowl
edge of tills organization that a scheme
luis been concocted to induce farmers
to turn over to the fertilizer manufac
turers and dealers their cotton, calcu
lated at H centH a poundfl to cover the
amount of the farmers indebtedness and
said cotton is to be carried by the fer
tilizer companies or dealers until they
see fit to sell the same and the farmer
to pay all interest and carrying charges,
thereby putting the entire burden and
responsibility on the farmer; be it,
“Resolved. That we hereby agree not
to enter Into such a nicely concocted
scheme and refuse to deliver any cotton
on said notes until the purchase price
reaches 10 cents at the farmers' ship
ping point.
"We desire to express our thanks to
adl merchants, manufacturers and all
other parties who hold claims against
the farmers who have accepted cotton
at 10 cents a pound on their obligations.

IF SKIN BREAKS
OUT AND ITCHES
APPLY SULFHIIR
Use it like a cold cream and
dry Eczema eruptions
right up.
The moment you apply bold-sulphur
to an itching or broken out skin, the
Itching stops and healing begins, says
a renowned dermatologist.
This remarkable sulphur made into
a thick cream effects such prompt re
lief. even in aggravated Eczema, that
it Is a never-ending source of amaze
ment to physicians.
For many years bold-sulphur has
occupied a secure position in the treat
ment of cutaneous eruptions by reason
of Its cooling, parasite-destroying
properties and nothing has ever been
found to take its place in relieving ir
ritable and inflammatory affections ol
the skin. While not always establish
ing a permanent cure, yet. in every in
stance. it immediately subdues the
itching irritation and heals the Ecze
ma right up and it is often years later
before any eruption again manifests
itself.
Any good pharmacist will supply an
ounce of bold-sulphur cream, which
should be applied to the affected parts
like the ordinary cold creams. It isn't
unpleasant and the prompt relief af
forded is very welcome, particularly
when the Eczema is accompanied witn
tortuous itching.
