NEW ORLEANS SPOTS New Orleans. —The continued slump In spot prices in the interior and especial ly the drop of five sixteenths of a cent at Dallas, caused an easy tone in the local cotton market and January traded at 7.43, the lowest price since liquida tion of contracts started following the outbreak of the European war. Some export Inquiry helped to firm oats. Higher hog prices steadied provisions. Assertions that wheat's advance had checked export demand brought about later a decided setback.
