Philadelphia. Pa.—The republican
plurality In Pennsylvania for all stato
candidates continued today to increase

With 60 per cent of the state heard j
from, the plurality of United States
Senator Holes Penrose over A. Mitchcl
Palmer, his democratic opponent, stood
at 180,046, with indications that it will
com** close to 200,000 If not exceed
those figures.
Gifford Pinchot, progressive, wis
about two thousand behind Palmer.
Penrose’s plurality in Philadelphia
alone was 1 14,888. Pinchot run 13,000
ahead of Painter in Philadelphia.
For governor. Martin li. Brumbaugh,
republican, had a plurality of 133,906
over Vance C. McCormick, his demo
cratic-progressive opponent. Brum
baugh’s plurality in Philadelphia was
110,036.
All Republicans.
The republicans also elected their
candidates for lieutenant governor !
secretary of internal affairs, and their 1
four nominees for congressmen at I
large,
Philadelphia’s congressional delega
tion of six will be solidly republican, |
the two democratic members from this;
city going down to defeat. From re- j
turns at hand the republicans also won
three congressional seats outside of
