Sleuths Searching New York
For Men Who Wrecked Part
of Bronx Courthouse.
New York —Amidst the ruin wrought
by powerful bombs exploded last night
at the entrance to Bronx county's
new .$1,000,000 court house, detectives
found today what they consider strong
evidence that the outrage was per
petrated by anarchists who had in
mind the Haymarket riots at Chicago
more than 20 years ago.
Detectives, who had believed that
the explosion had been prompted by
vengeance upon County Judge Louis
D. Gibbs, for heavy sentence imposed
recently by him on seven traffickers

WHAT AILS YOU?
An invitation is extended by Dr. Pirkle to every sick and ail
ing man or woman to consult him at his office in person or by let
ter. Write your symptoms fully and frankly and every letter will
be carefully considered, fully answered and its statements held as
strictly confidentially. Nature laws are perfect, if only we obey
them, but disease follows disobedience. I believe that many hun
dreds of my cures form a well substantial basis for every claim
I make; my treatment acts directly on the organs affected and at
the same time a general restorative tone for the whole system.
No dotibt you know of many cures of cases of female weakness
and kindred ailments of women I have cured. Let me offer you the relief and
comfort I am giving others daily by strengthening and arousing the stomach, liver
and kidneys into vigorous action. Digestion is promoted whereby the blood is en
riched and purified and disease producing bacteria destroyed and expelled
from the body and thus a long list of skin scrofulous and kindred affections are
overcome and sound, vigorous health established. #

Tatters of Pamphlet.
Among the fragments of metal chip
ped from the door-casing and cornices
of the court house they found the tat
ters of a pamphlet printed In Spanish
and headed Los Mortires de Chicago"
(“the martyrs of Chicago”). The
pamphlet so far as it could be pieced
together purported to tell the story
of the Haymarket anarchists who kill
ed the Chicago police in the famous
riots. A rough wood cut showed the
Haymarket anarchists swinging from
a gallows. There were incendiary
statements concerning the duty of
anarchists to avenge the "martyrs.”
Explosion Was Terrific.
New York. —One hundred detectives
spread a dragnet over New York City
today in their quest for the men who
wrecked the entrance to the new
Bronx County Courthouse and the city
marshal's office by powerful bombs at
11 o’clock last night.
The detectives followed the .heory
that the .bombs were exploded by a
band of traffickers in women, seven
of whom had been sentenced to long
prison terms. More than a score of
letters had been received by County
body. It dislodges and drives out these
Impurities by a most penetrating influ
ence. In like manner a long train of pain
fnl, persistent and puzzling maladies have
been completely overcome. And there are
blood sick people everywhere who will
profit greatly by knowing more about the
wonderful action of S. S. S. In the blood.
Those who have used destructive drugs
and are suffering the consequence in ruined
stomach and other misfortunes will find
8. S. S. a purely vegetable remedy and yet
a most powerful and effective purifier.

Judge Louis D. Gibbs, who sentenced
them, warning him of vengeance.
Some of the letters threatened him
with the “death King Humbert re
received." 'One of the bombs was in
tended for him, detectives believe and
was placed at a spot where he was
expected to pass out of the building
at the end of the night session of his
court; the other bomb apparently
was meant for the city marshal. John
C. Hoefling. Mr. Hoefling obtained
the evidence which resulted in the
seven convictions.
Three girls were slightly injured by
the explosions. For blocks in every
direction windows were shattered and
houses were rocked. The ornate en
trance to the new courthouse was
wrecked; $15,000 is the estimated
damage.
BELGIAN IIMICRATION
MOVE IS ENDORSED
Robert F. Shedden Calls Com
mittee Meeting to Be Held
Nov. 24th in Atlanta.
Atlanta, Ga.—Robert F. Shedden,
chairman, has called a meeting of the
Belgium immigration committee, to ho
held at the Piedmont Hotel on the
morning of November 21tli. It'is the
purpose of Mr. Shedden and his asso
ciates in the movement to make the
meeting state-wide in its scope, and it
is their wish that all interested in the
movement join in the conference.
The movement, combining, as it does,
humanitarianism with business, already
lias assumed proportions far greater
than its originators expected. In con
sequence, the executive committee has
opened headquarters, No. 1012 Grant
building, to handle the growing cor
respondence from all over the state
with reference to the immigration to
Georgia of solid, substantial Belgium
families whose homes have been de
vastated by the German invasion.
Mr. Shedden, as chairman, has en
listed the aid of a corps of assistants
in the work, and the view is shared
generally that a state-wide conference
should be held in Atlanta, in order
that all persons interested in the
movement may be fully informed as
to what, has been accomplished and
as to the possibilities of the under
taking.
It is the wish of the executive com
mittee that land owners, large and
small, communicate with the head
quarters at the earliest possible mo
ment, and furnish information as to
the number of Belgian immigrants
their idle lands will accommodate, and
the terms upon which they are willing
to co-operate In bringing to Georgia
these desirable aliens.
The committee has assurances from
many sections of the state that farm
ers’ associations, boards of trade,
county commissioners, town councils
and like organizations expect to be
represented at the meeting by regular
ly appointed delegates. It is import
ant that the executive committee be
notified as speedily as possible as to
the personnel of these <; ’•'•rations, so
that arrangements mu;. made for
their attendance upon the meeting.
