Meters. H. M. Dunaway and J. W. Fulmer have been attending the Fed eral Court in Augusts this week as Ira verse Jurors. Mr. It. H. Johnson, of Thomson, was a visitor to Harlem one day this week. Mr. C. J. Atkinson, of Augusta, spent a. short while one day this week with relatives in Harlrm. Mrs. John W. Radford and Mrs. Thomas Jones were visitors to Au gusta one day the past week. Mrs. C. C. McMillan has returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrn. R. P. Wood, at Marlon, fit. C. The many friends of Dr. F. H. Phillips will be glad to learn that he has returned to his home In Harlem, after several days atayjn a hospital In Augusta, and his condition la much Improved. Rev. L M Twiggs 1* attending the North Georgia Conference that is in season at Marietta, Ga., this week. Tt Is the earnest deglre of the people of Harlem that Rev. Twiggs will lie re turned here another year, for his work among the people In this section has certainly been beneficial. Winn, of Renoia, Oa, who Is an a visit to his son, Mr. W. A. Winn, will fill tne Methodist pul pit in Harlem on Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, and at night the Woman's Missionary Society will hold a meet ing. ' The people of Harlem and surround ing territory are protesting strongly against the proposed plan to take off the “Picayune." ft is one of the most Important trains that the people of this section use to go to Augusta. There are several citizens that live in Harlein who do business in Auguata and they use this train every day ex cept Sunday, and 1f tht* train is taken off it will force these people to sac rifice their home* nnd move to Au gusta. ls Colonel Wlekersham and General Passenger Agent Billups want to Berve the greatest number c.f people let them keep the "Picayune" on, nnd if any train la taken off let it be the "Buckhead."
