TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15. ADJUTANT YATES PETITION TO COUNCIL Charity Committee, to Which it Was Refered, Will Take Action on Tuesday Afternoon. There will be a meeting of the char ity committee Tuesday afternoon when a petition to council from Adjutant Yates, of the Salvation Army, for aid in his work and which was referred to the charity committee, will he eonsid *r* d. It is known that Chairman Frank W. Moore, of the charity committee, is in favor of extending aid to the Salva tion Army from the city. There is no person or organization who does more real charity than Adjutant Yates, as sisted by his wife and daughters. The police department will hear testimony to their great work in behalf of the outcast, the lowly and every kind of people that can be classed as unfor tunates. Undoubtedly, council will assist Adjutant Yates, because in his great work he is often handicapped for l ick of funds.
