GRAND JURY TO
CONSIDER TUT
INSOLVENT GOST
Will Meet Wednesday Morn
ing for This Purpose and Pre
sentments Will be Prepared
and Submitted to Court.
A great deal If Interest Is centered
In the meeting of the Richmond coun
ty grand Jury Wednesday morning
when presentments will probably be
prepared and submitted to the court.
The chief question before the grand
Jury Is the matter of the solicitor
general and Insolvent costs There Is
a movement on the part of some mem
bers of the grand Jury to prevent So
licitor General Franklin from col
lecting the entire amount of costs
which he can collect from the county
treasury under a decision of the su
preme court. I.ast year he collected
$8,117.75 from the county treasury and
It Is estimated that he received be
tween SIO,OOO and $12,000 for his year's
work from the four counties In which
he Is prosecutor for the state
Mr. Franklin stands on his legal
rights, so It Is understood, and Just
whnt the grand Jury will, or can do
shout the matter is problematical.
That body may refuse to recommend
the payment of Insolvent costs and In
that event there is some question as
to whether they can collected or
not.

A FATHER
Wise in the ways of the world, started a bank ac
count for his son with $5.00. It was fascinating for the
boy, to watch it grow. He ran errands and deposited his
earnings. He worked after school, and his pass book
showed big gains. After graduating he got a regular
job and steadily built up his account.
THEN CAME A RESOLUTION
to attend a technical school. His bank account had
reached the SSOO mark. It had taught him frugal
habits and thrifty customs, and each succeeding year till
graduation, by doing outside work, he came out ahead.
NOW
he has an important position and a salary of S2OO a
month, and is saving more than ever.
PARENTS: Start an account in this bank for your
children. Turn the pass book over to them and give
them a chance to develop frugality and the savings habit.
