Mrs. Robert Cothran's Song Recital Tuesday Evening
Mrs Robert Cothran, whose beauti
ful soprano voice Is always heard with
so much pleasure, has announced a
song recital for Tueeday evening nt
this week, Nov. Slat, at the studio of
the Southren School of Music In the
Hart son budding. Mrs Cothran has a
very exquisite voice of beautiful quali
ties. and many who have been desirous
of hearing this gifted young singer will
be delighted to evall themselves of this
opportunity. No formal cards have
been sent out but Mrs. Cothran’s
friends and the musical public In gen

joyed ones as well was that Friday
evening when Master Harry Morris
celebrated bis twelfth birthday at the
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Morris, on the hill. The color
tone of the evening was softest rose
the delicate pink hue that Is associated
with youth and beauty. Electric lights
were shaded In delicate pink tulle, the
thuse vases In all the three large
rooms, living room, dining room and
library, given over to the entertain
ment of the children, were filled with
pink chrysanthemums and roses, nnd
In the serving of the punch, delicious
candles, creams and cakes which broke
the dance at to o'clock, the same pink
tone wae evidenced. There were sixty
young people preeent and orchestral
music furnished the Inspiration for

CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY.
Katherine, the beautiful little daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Jones, cele
brated her sixth birthday yesterday
afternoon by entertaining a number of
her small friends at a delightful party
given at the home of her parents on
Mclntosh street. The entire lower
floor of the Jones' attractive home was
given over to the pleasure of the young
guests and was very pretty in its dec
orations of pink and green with many
beautiful roses and chrysanthemums,
and house plants. Games'of all kinds
entertained the children until five
thirty, when delirious refreshments
were served at a table set beneath the
softened glow of many rose shaded
electric lights and with pink shaded
candles and vases filled with lovely
pink blossoms The big birthday cake
was elaborately iced In pink and held
six tell-tale randies which the small
hostess blew out before rutting. The
an-h of the door leading from the par
lor to the dining room bore in pink
hearts "Katherine. Six Tears." Many
lovely presents were taken this beau
tiful child and her birthday was one
of the happiest that will ever befaJl
her.
Katherine received her guests wear
ing a frock of delicate lace over pink
silk, and was. as she always is. a pic
ture of beautiful childhood. Mrs. Jones
was assisted In entertaining the guests
