for I knew, and those who have read
even these first Installments of her story
must know, that shs has had much sor
row as well as much Joy and yet each
year It neems to me she (ms grown more
optimistic more In love with life which
she treats as s woman does her lover.
Paula is a very different disposition
from Margie Waverly. and I think she Is
happier for she has lived and loved both
Joy and sorrow.
More than any other person I have ever
known Paula Newton has been able to
stand aside and measure herself and her
life Impersonally and yet she In the least
self-centered woman In the world
Lately I, Margie Waverly, have found
thot to be a elf-centered Is to be unhappy.
