SOMETHING NEW IN AMUSEMENT LINE
AT THE GRAND MONDAY AND TUESDAY
“Oh Baby” is riot musical comedy; “Oh
Baby” is not opera. “Oh Baby” is not
vaudeville; "Oh Baby” is not ballet, yet
**Oh Baby” is all of these things and
more. This novel attraction which comes
to the Grand Theater on Monday and
Tuesday next, with Mikke Hacks and a
'peach chorus sponsored by A. B Marcus
is in fact a revue. It is the table d’hote
of entertainments ranging from the soup
of fun through the hors d’oeuvre of girls
to the dessert of melody with a liberal
sprinkling from a varied amusement manu
In between.
Florenz Ziegfeld introduced the first of
the revues to America some ten years ago
with his now famous "Follies.” Three
years later A. B. Marcus entered the field.
These two daring Irnpressarlos have with
the exception of the New York Winter
Garden productions and Raymond Hitch
cock’s "Hitchy Koo,” have the world to
themselves. It is asserted that “Oh Baby”
is the best show of them all.
“Oh Baby” is presented on the theory
that merican theatergoers wanted to be
amused with the Hume speed that they
work "Oh Baby” Is as swift of perfor
mance id conpared with the musical
■hows of a decade agi as an aeroplane is
to a stage coach. The rapidity of the per
