Chicago 111. —Wheat csop has been greatly benefited by recent
heavy rains.
Seeding is resumed in many localities from Texas to Nebraska.
Much spring wheat will be seeded in winter wheat states.
Where corn has been husked in parts of Kansas, Missouri, Illi
nois, Nebraska, Michigan and Ohio the ground has been prepared
for wheat, and will be seeded either this fall or next spring, denot
ing a big increase in wheat acreage.
Corn acreage next spring will ba reduced.
Corn harvesting is progressing, but the movement is'small be
cause of car scarcity.
Much winter rye has been seeded.—Modern Miller.
