Mias Gene George Pfeffer, and th 3 little vixens who demonstrated that
vampires are dangerous ladies to fool with, even if they’re only dolls with an
abbreviated "rag” and the “hank of hair" painted on.
San Francisco, Cal. —Figuratively
speaking Mins Gene George Pfeffer, so

of several million children.
Federal Judge Carpenter, of Chicago,
recently played the role of god-father
when he issued an injunction against two
large corporations daily manufacturing
5.000 imitations of the elves of Miss PfeD
fer’s imagination—the Splash Me Doll.
With a baby beach vamp huddled up
on the Judge s bench and the "mother” of
the child pleading before the bar. the
court had no choice. One look into the
come-hither eyes of the "child’, and the
judge signed an injunction.
Gene George is one of six sisters, all
having art. penchants. The Splash Me
Dill is the result of six imaginations com
bined. but Gene George designed the
come-hither eyes, the glory of the little

The vamp’s fame took Miss Gene
George Pfeffer to New York where Zieg
field animated the Splash Me in the Fol
lies. It next made its appearance at the
New York Liberty Loan ball. But in the
meantime—
Gene George found out her "children”
were being turned out in Chicago at the
rate of 5.000 a day. She donned working
attire and got a job in one of the facto
ries she contended with infringing on her
latent —without revealing her identity.
Iler employers found her to be so skill
ed at the art of turning out baby vamps
that she was promoted the first day. The
factory was sorry to lose so valuable a
worker when she quit.
The next time the employer met Gene
George she was in Judge Carpenter’s
court with a tiny vamp in her arms. She
pot the mannikin on the judge's desk and
turned its come-hither eyes on the court.
Gene George won her injunction.
Miss Pfeffer is a graduate of the Mark
Hopkins Institute as Art and of Sanford
University.
