NERVOUS, IRRITABLE,
AILING WOMEN
Mrs. Britten Tells How She Was Restored To Health Aftei
Suffering for More Than A Year.
Another Triumph for Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound
Compound baa relieved me of these nervoys feelings and pains and I am much
better in every way. I don’t know just how many bottles I have taken, but
I took it for nearly a year and it has done me a world of good.”—Mrs. Jessie
Granger, R. No. 8, Box 51, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Good health is a woman’s greatest asset. With it she may be the inspira
tion of her husband, a happy mother, and the life of the home. Without it
she suffers agonies herself, household duties are a burden, and her family is
made miserable by her condition. ,
Is it any wonder that these women wefe nervous and irritable after suffer
ing so iong from such deranged conditions? Such ailments act directly upon
the nerves, and it has been said that a large percentage of nervous prostra
tion, nervous despondency, "the blues,” and nervous irritabilty of women arise
from some derangement of the female organism.
If women who are in this condition would only profit by the experience of
others and take Lydia E. Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound at once, much suf
fering and unhappiness would be averted, as everyone knows a nervous, irri
table, ailing mother makes the home unhappy and her condition irritates
both husband and children.
Lydia E. Pinhliam’s Private Teal-Look upon “Ailments Pecu
liar to Women” will be sent to you free upon request. Write

added when serv
ing.

sieve. Season with salt and pepper

English walnuts. 2tablespoons lemon
juice, 1 cup boiled salad dressing. 2
oranges, curly endive.
Mash cheese and add dressing. Beat
to a smooth paste. Use large, choir*

Stone and fill cavities with nuts. Stone
dates. Add dates, nuts, lemon juice
and prunes to first mixture. Turn
into a mold and pack in salt and ice
anti let stand four hours. Unmold

mid-summer evening.
FEDERAL OFFICERS SEEK
ALLEGED SLACKERS
ATLANTA, Ga.—Federal court offi
cers are at work on 63 bills of criminal
Information filed in the District court
against al'eged draft slackers. It was
said that between 150 and 200 addi
tional bills wfttild be filed soon. Bench
warrants for the arrest of those named
follow introduction of the bills.
Assistant District Attorney Gordon
Combs, who la In charge of the work,
said careful Investigation preceded
preparation of the bills. The possibil
ity that former service men would be
accused through error caused the
identity of those charged to be with
he'd.
' Most of the men under investigation
will be charged merely with technical
violation of the draft act," he said.
4 ‘We have found there were few who
willfully failed to comply with the law.
The majority involve failure to return
questionnaires properly."
