Dawes, republican nominee for vice
president. The issue revolving
about constitutional questions was
raised by Mr. Dawes Thursduy
night at Rockford and Freeport, 111.,

conferences as he traveled toward
Hloux Falls. The position of the
republican party on the farm ques
tion will be discussed by the noml
lnee In a speech tonight at the co
liseum In Sioux Falls.
The objective of Mr. Dawes pres
ent trip, Sioux Falls, Is the farthest
west he has gone In any of his cam
paign speaking trlus. The speech
there tonight will be the second In
his campaign region, recognized hy
all political leaders as the La Fol
lette stronghold, he having spoken
a week ago In Milwaukee.
