SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 ECZEMA You will be compelled to admit that the results of S.S.S.are really amazing! MANY people Imagine that ec zema or tetter needs only some external application on the skin in order-to get relief. This is because the attention of the suf ferer is so violently directed to the intense burning and itching which accompanies this disease. Try as they may—permanent relief will never be theirs until the disease laden blood is thoroughly cleansed. We know there is one thing that stops eczema and that is more red blood-cells! S.S.S. builds them by the million! You can increase your red-blood-cells to the point where It is practically impossible for ec zema to exist. We know that as blood-cells increase in number, blood Impurities vanish! We also know that night follows day. Both are facts! But have you, eczema sufferers, ever actually taken ad vantage of this wonderful fact? Thousands just like you have never thought about it. Skin eruptions, eczema, with all its fiery, skin dig ging torture, and its soul-tearing, unreachable itching, pimples, blackheads and bqils, they all pack up and go, when the tide of blood cells begins to roll iu! Blood-cells aro the fighting giants of Nature! S.S.S. builds them by the million! It has been doihg it since 1826. S.S.S. is one of the greatest blood-cell builders, blood-cleansers and body strengtheners known to us mortals! When you put these facts together,—then to continue to have eczema and skin eruptions looks more like a sin than a dis ease. S.S.S. contains only vege table medicinal ingredients. Be cause S.S.S. does build red-blood cells, it routs eczema, clears the skin, builds firm flesh, fills out hollow cheeks, and gives you that more up and going appearance. S. S. S. is sold at all good IB drug stores in two sizes. The /Vwiki larger size is more economical* Ipllkc C* C! KIRBY GIVEN FAREWELL SUPPER BY CONFRERES OF JONES’ CO. A wonderful supper was given by the employees of the Jones Furni ture Company Thursday evening in honor or Mr. O. V. Kirby who has resigned and is leaving for At lanta. One of the pleasant fea tures of the occasion was that it was a surprise to Mr. and Mrs. Kirby. When they arrived at the home of Mrs. Bessie Ehrhardt they found the entire force of employees to greet them and enjoy the supper with them. The living and dining rooms were decorated with cut flo)vers and ferns, and the flowers and favors on the tables carried out the fall color scheme of red and yellow. Beautiful addresses expressing the esteem in which Mr. Kirby was held were made by vari ous ones present. Mr. Barton with his usual wit and humor delighted all present with one of his wonder ful after-dinner speeches. His words of gratitude to Mr. Kirby for his many kindnesses to all the em ployees and regrets at losing him as manager were beautifuj. Mrs. Khrhardt in presenting the supper as a farewell token of affec tion to Mr. Kirby said: “Mr. Kirby, on behalf of the em ployees sos . the Jones. Furniture Company I wish to express to you the great sorrow you caused us by severing your connection with this company in the capacity as manager. It is true, we all miss you now more than words can ex press. still, the change was so sud den it will take time for us to realize fully our great loss. Dur ing the months in which you have so ably conducted the management of this company each one of us has had reason to remember your many yrets of forbearance and words of kindness, for we have always re ceived friendly consideration at your hands. You have given us gentle counsel and encouragement and In this way you have made us your sincere friends and have taught us faithfulness In our re spective departments. For all this we greatly thank you. We will ever remember your kindness to us, and when we are separated from each other, it may please you to know that we consider that we are better, as well as wiser from the good advice we have received from you. However, we would not con fine our gratitude to mere words, so we planned this little surprise supper, which we have all come to, as our last meeting with you as manager. In offering this, I assure you that as a patient manager, a wise counselor, and a most excel lent “boss,” you will ever be re membered with feelings o£ the highest regard and esteem. Mr. Kirby, we all wish you much suc cess in your new undertakings? and assure you that our good wishes will follow you wherever 1 °lt was learned during the even ing that It was the third anniver sary of Mr. and Mrs. Kirby and all present wished for them many years of happiness together. Crowing brains and bodies need plenty of tlssue bulldlng material to grow on, but the food must be quickly assimi lated. The younger children should not eat m'uit for dinner.
