"The Story Without a Name,” a new
Irvin Willatt production for Para

Morene featured in the principal roles,

The story, by Arthur Stringer,

Irvin wrote the screen play.
It tells of a young inventor, work

• Her Love Story 1 A Paramount Picture
Jt haa been said that one-half the
world does not know how the other
half lives. We were reminded of that
truism last night as we watched “Her

son, on the screen of the Modjoska
Theater whe?e the picture was being
shown for the first time. The aver- i
age film fan, raised on fairy tales
and bed-time stories, has a hazy no
tion that the life of a princess is one
continuous round of pleasure. Event
ually, she marries a noble prince and
lives happily ever after.

absolutely unlookcil for happens.
What? That’s the question the pic
ture itself will have to answer for the
fans. And It is said to provide as
pleasant an evening's cntertamlnmont
as you've ever experienced.
Playing In support of the leading
players is an unusually rapable cast of
prominent players which Includes
Tyrone Power. Dagmar Godowsky,
Maurice Costello, Jack Bohn, Louis

choice. He isn’t a prince, but to the
plncres* ho is everything that is good
and true and noble, and she loves
him. She does marry him, without
the consent of her father, and then
her troubles begin. In absorbing de
tail the plot unfolds the manner In
which the lovers are parted, and the
princess forced into an unhappy mar
riage with a dissolute king. You
can’t help feeling sorrjr for Gloria
while at the same time you are sub
consciously glad that you are living in
a democratic country, free to love
and marry whom you please.

one performance only.
As every one now knows the book
und lyrlos are l>y Dorothy Donnelly,
adapted from the original Viennese of
A. M. Wllmer anil H. Reichert. The
music Is from melodies of Franz Schu
bert himself and 11. llerte, adapted
l>y Sigmund Romberg. •JUossom Time'
deals with
famous composer Franx Schubert,
and therefore, his own music fur
nishes a large portion of the beauty
of the score. Schubert la shown In
love with a young woman and com
posing one of his famous pieces of
music In her honor. In It, he tells
of his love. However, with the mod
esty of the urllst, he is unable 10
sing It In person to her as ho had
planned, so he asks his friend, Baron
Franz Schobcr, to sing It to her In
his stead. Schober Is a natural Dun
Juan and victimizes Schubert. Sing
ing so beautifully and making lovu
so perfectly, he wins the girl's affec
tion.
Mr. Romberg utilises the best
known compositions of the famous
Schubert, Including "The Unfinished
Symphony," "The Serenade," “Two
Waltzes," "The Brook," "Why,” "A
Quintet for Strings," "Ave Marla,
and "The Rosamund Overture."
The Messrs. Shubert have furnished
a brilliant east for "Blossom Time,"
Including Joseph Mendelsohn, famous
baritone who has toured In grand
opera with the Grand Opera Com
pany and whoso voice Is Die finest
baritone heard here In the South In
years, according to Norfolk papers.
