He Was Too Inquisitive
“Pirate Pete’’ had things pretty much his own way for 20 year*.
Farmers along Lake Prlen, in southwestern Louisiana, would see him
sneak up and kill off their pigs. But the big 625-pound alligator al
ways succeeded in eluding them on the way back to his lair. The other
day, though, lie grew curious when ho heard a lot of noise around. And
