One of the most beautiful lun
cheons given this season was the
Halloween luncheon at which
Mr*. William 11. Harlson entertain
ed tin friends at two o'clock yes
terday at her home on The Hill.
The Hallowe'en idea und colors
were beautifully featured through
out the decorations of the stately
dining; room which was exquisite
with its table decorations. A hand
some lace cloth over orange satin
and had for its centerpiece a largo
cut glass vase filled with orange
and cosmos blossoms. The place
cards and bonbon baskets were In
orange and black, nnd the silver

ago Mr. Mashburn waa In charge

now located tn Elberton, Ga.. will

tion next Saturday, of the fiftieth
anniversary of their marriage. Invi

Mr. Mashburn is one of the best
known men connected with the
North Georgia Methodist confer
ence, and knows more people and
is known by more people than
practically any other man in the
conference. He entered the min
istry In 1872 when living In Jasper
county. Two years later he and his
wife, then Miss Josephine Hollo
way were married and moved to
Flowery Branch. Next he served
ns pnstor at Duluth and has since

cities Forsyth, Wsrrenton, Cnr
tVsviyo, Elberton, St James
chufbh. at Augusta: Walker Street
church, tn Atlanta: at Madison
Thompson and M inder, and also
served four years a* presiding elder
