LUKE METHODIST CHURCH

The culmlntlon of children's
wek w ill be 'Home Coming Day" at
St. Duke Methodist church both in
the Sunday School and the regu
lar preaching services Sunday the
second of November.
Special program* have been ar
ranged for the services including
worship and devotional periods.
The pastor ande officials of the
church and Sunday School are very
active in making this day one of
vital spiritual interest to the church
and community and ail members
and friends of the church are re
quested to be present.
Committee* have been appointed
and car* will be ready to have all
"shut ins" and aged to be taken
care of in order that they may have
tit* privilege of these services.

ENTERTAIN
Bertha Camp Is In readiness for
their Halloween party Monday
night November 2, 1924 at eight
o'clock.
An Interesting program is being
arranged and a good time assured
all who attend. A small admis
sion fee of ten cents will be
charged at the dor to help defray
expenses.
Prizes will be given for the best
ladies Hallowe'en costume, a lovely
prize for the tackiest. Similar
prizes will be given the men who
come dressed in Hallowe'en cos
tumes.
The most popular young lady in
the hall to received a prizes. Also
prizes will b e given for the various
games. Party will close with old
fashion dancing.

One of the prettiest of the many
lovely parties given for Miss Anita
Tessier was that yesterday after
noon nt which Miss Elizabeth Mil
ligan was hostess at her home on
Telfair street.
The attractive rooms of Miss
Milligan'S homo were adorned with
cut'flowers and plants. Bridge was
played at three tables and the
high score, a box of stationery was
won by Miss Beulah Elliott. The
consolation was won by Mrs. Will
Britton and the honor guests were
given a bridge set. A delicious
luncheon followed ths game.

tempted suicide, was brought In
from an ambulance, blood spout
ing from a frightful gash In his
throat. A surgeon checked the
flow, but Skelly. his veins almost
drained, was sinking rapidly.
