SOCIAL AND
PERSONAL
with folded wings.
Silent as one who treads on new
fallen snow.
Love comes upon me ere I was
awake.
Not light of heart, for there was
troublous care
Upon his eyelids, drooping them full
low.
As with sad memory of a healded
woe;
The cold rain shivered in his golden
hair,
As if an outcast lot had been his
share,
And he seemed doubtful whither he
should go;
Then fell he on my neck, and, in my
breast
Hiding his face, awhile sobbed bit
terly,
As half in grief to be so long distress,
And half in joy at his security—
At last unlooking from his place of
rest,
His eyes shone blessedness and hopo
on me.

lie DAYS ARE
HERE THIS WEEK
Many New Houses Have
Been Built and People
Are Moving Into Them.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
are moving days this week in Au
gusta. The renting season here dates
from the first of October and conse
quently everything Is on the go. Ac
cording to a leading renting concern
here there is an unusual amount of
moving this year on account of the
unprecedented number of dwellings
which have been constructed during
the past season.
It is estimated that easily twice ns
many new houses will be occupied
this year than ever before and this
of course makes room for more peo
ple and gives more room to those al
ready here.
There is bill little trouble in getting
sufficient transportation to move ami
the wagons and vans are moving ev
erybody at reasonable prices. The
good weather is adding to the ease
with which the work can be carried
on and while entails a lot of work
the season this year is exceptionally
favorable for the job.
Virtually all the work will be com
pleted this week, but there are a few
who will have to continue moving
from now until the middle of the
month.
