THE TRUTH ABOUT KIDNEY TROUBLE (ALBUMEN AND CASTS) People have been # led to bellev- 1 that the strings and flecks In uri nary sediment mean disintegrating kidney tissue (otherwise known as casts), and have been frightened into the belief that this meant death. As a matter of fact casts can not be seen with the naked eye, only through a hlgh-power microscope; and 'even when found they are no longer evidence ot absolutely incur able cases. In those cases In which th" degon • ration has not proceeded so far bn*. : what if healed the kidney can still perform Its functions the albumen and casts respond as definitely to th reduction of the Inflammation by Ful ; ’on's llenal Compound as the oth'-r 1 symptoms, and the microscope wlii show the easts to be less In numbrr i week by week until the lnflamma •ion and albumen have compli-ly subtld"d. If asked what percentage c* aid ney cases thal show easts* have *nough ot the kidneys 1. ft fnv th) patient to recover, we would say that ihe percentage of cases beyond re cover) is small. i One of the reasons for this h“lier is that there are very few record* j in the Text Books of eases in which ' th** autopsies disclosed the nearly I complete dispersion of the kidney. : Such are rare. Then again, Fulton * Renal Compound gets such a high percentage of recoveries tn cases that *how casts and albumen that this also sustains the above conclusion. The high efficiency of 87 per cent heretofore established by this Com pound was tn a line of case* all ot i which, so far as we knew, were con j sldervil chronic and incurable.
