Wm. j. Bryan was the first to ar rive and was greeted at the North western station by a delegation that Included officials of both the water ways convention and the democratic rational committee. Two hours later William Howard Taft received a similar greeting and after a short interval was escorted to the convention hall, where he deliver ed the first of his speeches. Tomorrow W. J. While she was leaning against a banister on the rear veranda of her home, the railing suddenly gave way, and the deceased fell a distance of several feet to the hard surface of a walk in the back yard. Death result ed in a short while, before the return of consciousness. Mrs. Lamb Is survived by one son, Mr. Harold Lamb, of Union Point. Ga , from whose home she had only re turned Tuesday from a most pleasant visit. She was more than four score years old and had been a resident of Au gusta for r long time, making many warm friendships, and her death is deeply mourned. No funeral arrangements will be made until the arlval tonight at 10 o’clock of Mr. Harold Lamb.
