The Enterprise mill commenced op
erating Wednesday afternoon partly
with waterpower as they were locat
ed below the pumping station and the
electric company and were allowed
to use all the water they could obtain.
If present plans are carried out all
the factories along the canal will have
plenty of water for operation Monday ■
morning nnd all operatives can then
go back to work.

Mayor Wm. M. Dunbar, after a vaca
tion of a week and a day, during
which time he visited Baltimore, Phil
adelphia and New York, returned to
Augusta Thursday morning and was
at his office during the day. Mayor
Dunbar also visited the parents of
Mrs. Clem Dunbar at Atlantic City
while he was on the trip.
He states that he had an exception
ally restful trip and is now ready to
get down to work again. An unusual
thing about the trip was that among
[ ihe thousands of Augustans and hun
dreds of people from other sections of
! tho United States. Mayor Dunbar saw
; only one man he knew while he was off
on the trip and he was from Mont-
I gomery.
