Katie Unloaded Cargo and
the Other Boats arc Also
in Port.
The side-wheeler Katie unloaded a
big cargo Thursday morning at the
Bay street wharf and the Swan Is
I also "in port."
The T wo States Is floated and moor
ed to a wharf below the main ware
house landings. A great hole shows
In her how, where she fouled on a
i ilghter Saturday night after the flood,
and her hull has been completely
stripped of all Its housings save the
boilers and engine room aft.
Alongside the Two States, hauled
out high and dry on the hank, are
two freight ears that were caught in
the flood, snatched from the C. & W.
(.'. tracks above the North Augusta
bridge and swept down the river like
packing cases, to finally lodge against
the Southern railway trestle. Subse
quently they floated down to a point
abreast of the Bay street wharf snd
were lifted out of the stream by the
snagboat Tugaloo.
A new office is being built in the j
warehouse, fronting Bay street, In
stead of the former location at the!
northeast corner, and practically all I
traces of flood damage to the large ■
buildings have been covered by repair !
work on an extensive scale.
LETTER TO A. E. PENDLETON.
Augusta, Ga.
Dear Sir: Words cannot prove I
facts; lhey only stale them.
When we say “every job painted I
Devoe takes Iphs gallons than of any
other paint," we prove nothing.
Here's the proof, though:
Paint half your job Devon; paint
the oilier half whatever you* like. If
Devoe doesn't take less gallons and
cost less money, no pay.
Yours truly,

HAD QUIT WORK
READY TO GIVE UP IN DESPAIR
Restored to Health By Vinol
"I was sick, run-down and finally
had to give up work. After trying
! a number of remedies and several
| physicians, 1 was just about ready
ito give up In despair. I saw Vinol
advertised and decided to try It, and
it has done more good for me than
I all other means combined. It has
built rne up and restored my strength
until I now feel twenty years young
er, and am able to attend to my work
again as usual." Job Jeavons, 1036
Lind street, Wheeling, W. Va.
The reason Vinol is so successful
In such cases is because it contains
tonic Iron and all of the strengthen
ing blood-making and body-building
elements of cod liver oil, but no oil.
Vinol Is unexcelled as a strength
creator for old people, delicate chil
dren, weak, run-down persons, and ar
ter sickness—and Is the best known
remedy for coughs, colds and bron
chitis.
We return your money if Vinol
fails to give satisfaction—Alexander
