tion is pecuniary profit to its mem
bers, and the business proposed to
be carried on by it is the buying and
selling, both in its own right and on
commission, of automobiles, automo
bile sundries, and vehicles of every
kind, whether self propelling or not,
all attachments, connections and
parts thereof, and all material and
supplies useful for or to be used in
connection with automobiles and oth
er vehicles, and the business of re
pairing, hiring, letting and storing
the same.
3. That the capital stock of said
corporation shall he Five Hundred
Dollars divided into one hundred
shares of Five Dollars each, all of
which is actually paid in, with the
privilege of increasing the same from
time to time to an amount not ex
ceeding $25,000.00 by a majority vote
of the stockholders; and that there
shall be no Individual libality to any
stockholder except for his unpaid
stock subscription.
4. That the principal place of busi
ness of said corporation shall be the
City of Augusta, in said county, with
the right of establishing branch of
fices, within this state or elsewhere.
5. That your petitioners desire
said corporation empowered to buy,
sell, own, lease, rent and hire real
and persona: property; to contract
and be contracted with; to borrow
money; to issue notes and other ob
ligations; to secure its debts by all
methods recognized by law; to sue
and be sued; to have a seal; to make
by-laws and change the same at pleas
ure: to do and perform everything
needful for the successful conduct
of such business, with all the powers
Incident to such corporations under
the laws of Georgia.
WHEREFORE your petitioners pray

The new Broadhurst play, “The
Man of the Hour,” under the direc
tion of William A, Brady and Joseph
R. Grismer, is to be presented in
this city at the grand Monday mat
inee and night.
While Mr. Broadhurst has taken for
his central theme the political
tion as it exists in nearly every greav
city in the country—he has also in
terwoven a franchise deal and what
is said to be a very delightful love
story.
The young man is in love with the
niece of the financier, and she has
told him that before she can promise
to become his wife he must • prove
himself worthy and “do something.”
The mayoralty 1b his opoprtunity.
He accepts the nomination, wins the
election. The franchise bill in the
course of time passes the council,
and comes to the Mayor for signature,
but Bennett, realizing that it Is a
“steal,” steadfastly refuses to sign
it. In the end strict honesty prevails
and Bennett wins" his sweetheart.
There are four acts, each being an
interior, and the cast is reported to
be of uniform excellence.

Max Figman who is again breaking

dy "The Substitute” will be the at

The Substitute is from the pens of
Beulah M. Dix and Evelyn Greenleaf
Southerland, who wrote the distinct
success “The Road to Yesterday.”
It does not present any problem
to worry the theatregoers’s mind, but
is amusement pure and simple con
ceived on thoroughly original lines,
and developed with a bold endeavor
to get away from the beaten tracks
of dramatic writing.
The story involves comedy and ro
mance. Mr. Figman plays ’the part
of an up-to-date New York lawyer
with sporty proclivities, who, to keep
his word with his prospective brother
in-law. is compelled to substitute for
a clergyman and officiate at a rural
pulpit.
Manager John Cort has provided
him with a supporting company that
is better than the ordinary, and with
a magnificent scenic production that
is winning praises everywhere.
