Being some reasons why I solicit and merit
your drug and drug sundries patronage.
No store in Augusta is better —few ns well—
stocked and organized to take care of vour
every drug need—however small it may be.
In buying drugs for our prescription de
partment the strongest known tost for puri
ty i.s applied.
This then places at the disposal of our grad
uate pharmacists drugs which they know to
be absolutely pure so the prescriptions they
carefully Pili can be relied upon tio perform
their proper functions.
Back of all this are niy stringent rules that
under no circumstances must even tin*
smallest substitution be practised. We would
discharge a clerk who would change even
the thirty second of a grain without first
telephoning the physician whose name ap
pears on the prescription.
And with all this our prices are moderate.

promotion of the spiritual, mental and
social as well as the physical life of
our members.
In all the competitions and sports
a spirit of fair (piny and honesty pre
dominates, and the Htandard of the
association Is continually set before
the members.
The policy of ifils department Is to
stimulate an interest among our
members physically, aiding them to
maintain a sound, healthful condition
and provide them with a reserve of
strength, energy and vitality against
which they may draw when occasion
demands, thus making them better
and more efficient men.
'Hiis department for the coming
year Is planning to conduct physical
measurement tests among the gram

parents of the standing of their boy

standard measurements of the par

the end of a specified time, exami

in assisting the association to develop
better boys which will lead to better
men, a better city and a better coun

Efficiency tests will also be given
to the high school and grammar

receiving a report from the physician
that he was sane.
It is a peculiar fact in connection
with this case that the only eyewit
nesses were the wives of the men in
volved. Mrs. Dennis Hall, widow of
the murdered man, testified for the
state ot the trial, while Mrs. I. B. Hall. f
wife of the man on trial, was not al
lowed to testify. It was largely on
the testimony of the former Mrs. Hall,
attorneys for the condemned man say,
that a conviction was secured.
Both the Halls were prominent in
Tift county, and the case has aroused
general interest in that section of the
state.
Another murder case which the gov
ernor lias under consideration is that
of David McLaughlin, alias Davis, a
Laurens county negro. Earl Camp, of
Dublin, argued the case before the
governor several days ago.
In the Schmidt trial it appears that
the only question for the Jury to de
cide is which alienists are guilty.—
