’Way up in the garret, or deep down in
the cellar, there MAY be an article of use
fulness which you’ve SHELVED. More
than likely it would COME IN HANDY
to a whole lot of other people. Cash for it
if you’ll spend a few dimes to tell the
tale in An Augusta Herald ‘‘Want Ad.”..

GETTING RESULTS
When you place a want ad tn The Herald you buy so many lines of
white space. The Herald guarantees to deliver those lines Into more
than 10.000 homes.
The results you get depend entirely upon the words which you put
into the space you buy.
Some ads bring hundreds of replies. Others bring none at all. The
Herald has performed its full duty in each case.
Take for exajnple these two ads from The Sunday Herald.

We do not know what the actual returns were on these ads but we
venture to say that the first ad brought many inquiries and that the
second ad brought very few or, more likely, none at all.
The first ad Is definite—lt states exactly what is offered for sale,
and a person can easily determine whether they would be Interested or
not. The second ad tells nothing and It Is a very few people who —
wanting some definite piece of furniture—would take time to go out and
see If, by chance. It was included in this lot.
Of course the first ad cost more money—but then It's cheaper to
pay 75c or 31.00 for an ad and get results, than It is to pay 25 cents for
an ad and get no results.
AnJ Herald want ads will get results svery time, If you will give
full and complete Information. Try It n*xt time
