Postmaster T. I). Murphy stated this

the department not to offer the free
delivery to those who do not have
their boxes. The boxes can ha pur
chased at most any hardware store
for a nominal sum end It Is hoped by
the postmaster that this matter will
be r.t tended to at once. By procuring
these boxes residents of the suburb*
will receive the same service a* peo
ple living In the residential center of
the city.

While the mercury was steadily on
the rise today the sun shons so thinly
through the clouds that the ten and a
half Inch anow of Wednesday melted
but little. In many place* where the

became crusty and hard. The streets
on which the traffic Is usually heavy
were In a fairly good condition, how

probably tomorrow. The rain, stated

tomorrow, with a minimum tomorrow
morning of between 36 and 40 degree*.

way the underlying clouds are blow
ing.

—Mrs. Claude Williams’ many
friends will be delighted to learn that
after surgical treatment on Wednes
day last, at the Wllhenford, for ap
pendicitis, her condition Is very fa

as could be expected.
