That petitioners desire to obtain
for themselves, their successors
and assigns, a charter for a com¬
pany to be known as the Jackson¬
ville St Mary’- and JeBtip Rai'road
company, and they seek to be
incorporated umder such name as
a corporated body, for the purpose
of building und operating a Rail¬
road line under said charter.

That the length of said Railroad
proposed to be built by 6aid Com¬
pany. will be abort, one hundred
miles , as near as can be estimated
at this time, and that the general
district of same will be Southwest
to Northeast.

That said proposed Railroad be
gining in the town of Jesup,
County of Wayne, will probably
run through the counties of Wayne
and Camden, in the statf of
Georgia, to a point on the bound¬
ary line between the State of
Georgia and Florida, within the
county ofJC'anden in the state of
Georgia, and from said point
through the counties of Nassau
and Duval in the state of Florida
to the city of Jacksonville -u the
state of Florida and the principle
places from which, and to which
it is proposed to construct said
Railroad is Jesup, Georgia and
Jacksonville, Florida.
IV.
That it is proposed to issue
capital stock in said Railroad
company to the amount of one
hundred thousand dollars, all of
which is to be common stock Jand
none of it preferred stock:
V.
That petitioners desire that
the charter for said Railroad com¬
pany , obtained under this petition
shall continue in force for the
full period fixed by law to wit one
hundred and (101) years.

That it is proposed to locate
the principle office of said Rail
rood company in the town of Jes
up, Georgia, and petitioners show
that they do intend in good faith
immediately upon granting the
charter herein prayed for, to go
toward without delay to secure
subscription to the capixal stock
