Family matters should never
discussed before strangers.
Puctnality in keeping appointments
is a cardinal virtue,
The conduct of another is alinsst
always an echo of onr own.
A kindness should always be re
membeted, aud a confidence sacredly
kept,
Any tree or plant whipped by green
elder bushes will .not be attacked by
insects.
A pint of mustard seed put in a
barrel of cider will preserve it sweet for
several months.
Small opportunities for doing good
to others should be grasped. Large
benefits often accrue from little favors.
Thoroughly wetting the hair once
or twice a week wtth a solution of
salt water will prevent it from fall
ing out.
We should never grumble at those
things we could have prevented, nor
at those things we could not have
prevented.
Gentle words do more than hard
speeches, as sunbeams without any
noise will make the traveller cast oft'
his cloak, which all the blustering
winds could not do, but only make
him bind his cloak closer to him.

If you Mant to be happy you must be goou,

But a far better ouc if understood,
Ts what I have got to say.
If you want to be happy you must be well,
Whatever the station you serve in;
And of all the medicines one bears tho lead,
Tho good Samaritan Ncrvino.
I once tried every sort of cure,
To restore ine to good health;
And spent in vain, of that I’m snro,
Considerable sbaro of wealth;
But all was vain, till a friend advised,
In a manner most deservin’
The medicine he most highly prir.ed
Richmond’s Samaritan Nervino. j
I took his advise; in one short wcok,
I felt no further pain;
For doctors no longer I had to seek,
For 1 never felt sick again.
I’m healthy and happy the whole day long
So if health be worth preservin’,
The constant burden of my song
Is, try Samaritan Nervine.
’T’will cure the young, ’t’will heal the old,
’T’will make the whole world better:
At St. Joseph, Missouri, the medioine is sold;
Drop Dr. Richmond a letter:
Ho’ill give you advice far better ’ban wealth
He,ill point out the way to preserve in
The best condition your newly found health.
By the use of Samaritan Nervine.
