School at Rising Fawn,
Editor times:— Please allow me a
short Tjwe in your paper to say <i few
words in the interest of a school at
Rising Fawn It makes me feel sad
when I sec so many children out of
school and to think within a few years
t hey will be men and women,! think we,
the people at this place, will greatly re
gret the neglect of this important du
ty some flay. I would that some one
Who realizes the situation would come
to the front and stir our people on this
all and important subject. Many child
ren at this plaee will never bo sent to
school, unless one can be had and sus
tained in the immediate town.
A good School would improve our town
and people in many ways. Respectfully
submitted to the citizen of Rising
Fawn, and I would that they would u
nitedly take hold of the matter.
A Mother.
Farewell to Dade,
The Subject does not Cover the entire
subject matter of this article, but it W ill
attract every ones attention. Ido not
select the subject to draw attention to
my departure, but that upon which 1
have concentrated my thought and la
bor for the past nearly four years. My
connection with the Times as editor,
publisher and proprietor is served, my
successor was announced in last issue.
Mr. Hancock comes <o Dade and as
sumes the edi'ing and publishing of the
Times well recommended. Associated
with him one week, I am fully satisfied
he will maintain the paper at a’ high
moral standard and free from anything
that will tend to demoralize the nature
of any one. His time will be devoted
exclusively on and in the interest of the
paper, While the Times has not come
up to the standard of interest and ex
cellence under my management as I
have desired, yet, especially under the
circumstances, lam free to say that, it
has been by no rr.eahs a failure. But
I am interested in the future success of
the Times. Whatever I have to'aay, is
to that end. lam grateful to the peo
ple of Dade for the interest they have
manifested in the paper and towards
myself, but, it is my desire that this in
terest be greater and more general in
the future. Let it grow ami flourish
and every citizen of Dade contrib
ute to its support. Nothing is a better
advertisement for a country and peo
ple than an in ten resting and well sup
ported paper. Nothing denotes a high
er evidence of growth and prosperity.
But remember, that if you want a good
and interesting paper it takes a liberal
and general support equally as well as
your g >od will. But the Times has
been steadily growing in every respect,
and I have no doubt but that at tin
ciose of the present year it will be more
fully engrafted ; n the confidence of the
people and inseparable from their inter
ests than in the past. I shall al
ways watch it with deep iuterest and
mark its successor with pride.
lam conscious that I am leaving
many friends in Dade and associations
that are not pleasant to break. There
are no people any where better than it.
Trenton and Dade c >nhty. and then
are comparatively as manv of them.-
Perfect p< ace and harmony are not of
earth, but some localities approach it
nearee than others, Wha'cver may be
said against Trenton, or any section of
Dade county, in this particular. Dado
is on par with the best localities. Those
who see all the good and perfect things
of life in some far away country, may
not except this, but those who are fully
innitiated iuto the “ways of the world’’
realize it as a truth. Most Resptfully,
T. A. Havron.

To tha Readers of the Times.
1 come before I lie people of Dad

duced to them and the readera of 11:-
Times only in name and by recomen
daton I recognize and feel the respon
sibility of 'lie relation as editor of the
county paper, 1 hear to them. Inex
perier.od in the uewspapei work, and
knowing errors are inseparable fiotn
a’l human efforts, [ shall trust to then
indulgence until 1 have gathered more
knowledge and experience in the
work. But while these are the circum
stances, yet it is with pleasure I eu
tcr upon the duties, and by energy
and close application 1 expect soon to
be able to give you a paper fully
worthy of the people ii represents.
Asking a liberal pa'ronage and sup
port from the people, I remain, very
respectfully, theirs to serve

Give Them A Chance.
That is to say, your lungs. Also all
your breathing ' machinery. Very
wonderful machinery it is. Not only
the larger air-passages, but the thous
ands of little tubes and cavities leading
from them.
When these are clogged and cltoked
with matter which ought not to be
there, your lungs cannot half do their
work. And what they do, they cannot
do well.
Call it cold, cough, croop, pnemenia.
catarrah, consumption or any of the
family of throat and nose and head and
lung obstruction, all are bad. All
ought to be got rid of. There i 3 iust
one sure way to get rid of them. That
is to take Boschee’s German Syrup,
twhich any druggist will so,ll you at 75
cents a bottle. Even if everything else
has failed you, you may depend upon
his for certain.
