desire to he incorporated and mad*

the laws of Georgia, under the cor
porate name of

pecuniary gain, h.v means of en
gaging in the business of purchas
ing and selling lands and mineral
interest, mining of coal and iroi
or*-, and Ihe manufacture of iron,
making and selling coke; audits
particular business will he (o mim
iron ore and coal upon any proper
ty it may at any time own and to
sell the same, and to smelt such
iron ore as it may mine or purchase
info pig iron, and to make inti,
coke such coal as it may mine o:
purchase and for such purposes to
erect blast furnaces and coke ovens
on its property near the town of
Littleton in said county of Dade
and at such other furnaces and
coke ovens as it may build or be
come possessed of, and to deliver
the same for shipment, and forthi
purpose to build such railroads as
may he necessary. And that th
said corporation have power and
authority to engage in the business
of rolling pig iron into any and all
grades of manufactured iron and to
this end that it may haveauthority
to erect such rolling mills as it may
deem necessary to consume the
product of its furnaces and also to
take stock in any such enterprise
that nowor may hereafter exist
Petitioners desire to be incorpor
ated for the term ot twenty years
with the privilege of renewal as of
ten as can he done under the laws.
They desire the evaporation to have
the power of sueing and being
sued, to have and use a common
seal, and to have succession, and
fo make such by-laws, rules and
regulations as it washes, binding
on its members, not inconsistent
with the laws of this State and
the United States, and to alter,
amend and recind the same at
pleasure. That it may have power
to receive, rent, lease, purchase
and hold such real and personal
property as may be necessary for
the legitimate purposes of the
corporation, or for feeuring debts
to it and to dispose of the same at
pleasure. . And that it have power
io elect such officers, managers,
directors or agents as it desires and
to do all siflfencts as are necessarv
for the legitimate execution oi its
power and the carrying out of its
purposes.
Petitioners have actually and
fide ]Ad in cash the sum
hundred and ten thousand
dinars for coal and iron lands in
Dade county, Georgia, which a o
now owned by and
which petitioners will convey to
said corporation as sooi as it is
formed or within a short time there
after.
Petitioners desire said capital
stock of said New England Land,
Coal, Iron and Manufacturing com
pany to be six hundred thousand
dollars divided into shares of one
hundred dollars each with the priv
ilege of increasing the capital stock
to five mi.l on dollars.
They desire the chief office and
place of business of said corpor
ation to be at the town of Little
ton, the county of Dade and they
desire to mine coal and iron ore
and erect furnaces and coke ovens
at whath ever place or places it
may at any time own lands or coal
or iron interests.
Petitioners pray that they maybe
made a body corporate and politic
under the name as aforesaid, and
with all the powers and priviliges
as aforesaid. That this petition
may be recorded by the clerk of
the Superior court of said county,
and that the same may be publish
ed in The Dade County Weekly
Times, a public gazette of said
county of Dade, once a week for
one month, and that afterward the
court will pass and order declaring
said application granted.
And petitioners will ever pray.

hatohie gaps, connecting will) road now

whereas, commissioners appointed for
that purpose Lave reviewed and marked
out said contemplated road and reported
to me that said road will be one of much
public utility and convenience. Now
this is to cite all persons that ou or af
ter the Ist day of July, 1889. said
