" t The New York Times says that {while Johu Kelly, as the head of the Tammany organization, is try- ‘ iigto airange & bargain with the other democratic factions of the eity whereby he - may secure his own price for the support of the national ticket, there are symp {oms of a'movement in!the various assembly districts to digplace him from his seat of power altogether. There are many Tammany demo erats who are in favor of suppor ting the national tickel dnjhow, and who are not pleased with the way in which it 18 proposed to trade with thoit votgs to intrench the power of the hitherto honored chief. The incipient movement is in favor of Ed Kearney as the grand sachem, and it is strong en ough to conttola number of dis tricte. How far it may go and what developments may come from Kelly's diekering remain to be seen, There seem to bé many “wheels within wheels” in shis can vass.—Rome Bulletin. The Stornt’s Wreck.
