dilapidated awrd neglected condi
tion; one of the houses burned, no
fencing around the premises, no
inmates in house. Also find about
twenty.five bushels of corn on
hand, which is being destroyed by

jail and sash out of window on
north side. We find a great ne
cessity of sewerage and drair
pipes. :
ON COURT HOUSE.
We find the bnilding too small
and ill convenient for the transac
fion of business.
BRECOMMENDATIGNS.
PAUPER FARM.
We recommend, That the Ordi
nary have the fencimg put under
good repair areund pauper farm
and have eight to ten acres more
land cleared and put vnder culti
vation, and lease or rent the farm
to the best inferest of she county
to a zeliable tenant, and to con
tract with said terant to take
cherge of, and provide for such |
paupers as may come under the
county’s charge. We futrher re
commend that the 25 bushels of
corn, property of pauper farm, be
sold and preceeds be turned into
the treasure.

as’ “*Bush’s ford’’ across Little
river on the Buchanan and Dallas
road. :

We reeommend that twenty dol
lars be appropriated te be expen
den in putting that portion of
Buchanan and Dallas road on the
east side of 'Panther’s creek in
good passable erder, near T. J.
Biggers’ place.

and weatherboarding on sides’ of
tridge over Tallapoesa river on
what is known as the Buchanan
and Cedartown road, as is set
forth in his plans and specifica
tions, which is on file in the Ordi
nary's office, provided the said
Abernathy will give bond ap:.
proved by the ordinary, that he
will carry out his contract accord
ing te the plans and specifications,
and will rebuild the same in case
it is washed away or otherwise
destroyed. ‘
ON BRIDGE—WALKER'S CREEK.
We recommend, That a bridge
be built across Walker's creek on
the road leading from Tallapoosa
to Arbeecoochu, and that the same
be extended twenty feet at south
end longer than that of the pres
ent bridge. |

We recommend, That the com
