rhe-'aNyvo is the name of a now post
office at ,.i i‘. W. St Weathering ton's store
about live miles cast of Buchanan, This
office is supplied hy a weekly mail from
Buchanan—Saturday being mail day.
This is a very abort route, but the enter
prising citizens of that commuuityu—for
they arc among the b xt and most enter¬
prising citizens of our county—propose to
keep up with the times by sustaining their
office. They speak of having it extended
to Draketown, which should he done. A's
it is now the mails from Buchanan to
Draketown have to go via Temple, and
through misconnections our mails are
often thrown badly behind: In fact, the
line would be of great convenience if ex
tended through the county from Drake
town to Poplar Springs, Little Creek and
NewsviTle. The mail from this place to
the three last named office now goes via
Tallapoosa, and like our Draketown mail
is often delayed. They are badty in need
of an office at Wesley Chapel bet ween
here and Poplar Springs. If the people
would take lio'd of this matter they would
soon have a permanent and self-sustain¬
ing mail route through the county. Let
us work for it.
The following is a list of those now hav¬
ing their Banneb-Mhsskngeus sent to
Golden, and we expect as many move soon,
for several have told us they wpulp take
the paper if they got their office establish¬
ed. It’s established; so come right along:
