IS MEMORY
Of Mrs. L. E. McBurnett prepared by
a committee appointed for that purpose
and was unanimously adopted by the
sub-Alliance at Five Points, No. 104, on
June l'6\h, ISffL
Sister McBurnett was born in North
Carolina in the year of our Lord 1882,
and departed this life May Hist, IwJi.
She joined the church when young and
lived a Christian member until her death.
She joined the Farmers Alliance at Five
Points June 20tli, 1800, and remained a
member in good standing until death.
She leaves a husband and eight children
and scores of friends to mourn her loss.
She was a loving wife and a kind and af¬
fectionate mother and a devoted chris
tain. Death in most circumstances is
sad but our hearts are filled with an unex
pressable sadness when one so good and
kind is taken from our midst. But we
mourn not as those that have no hope.
Now, friends and connection, one and all
let Mrs. Ellen’s farewell ever linger with
you as yon tread tile rugged paths of this
vale of sorrow, and may your faces and
footsteps be toward the land of fadeless
giecn. Be it
1. Resolved, That we tender our con¬
dolence to the bereaved and praj that
tho Giver of all good may comfort them
and save them all in that bright world
above where there will be no more l ro
ken hearts, and may Good’s great spirit
of love bind up their broken hearts, and
may they be found ready when the Mas¬
ter calls for them.
2nd. Resolved, That a copy of the fore¬
going be sent to the Carroll Free Press
and Banner-Messenger with request to
publish.

Prepared by Jesus the great high priest.
Who is ever ready to supply the feast.
Then trust in Ilis merits, seek and im

His grace is free, full and sufficient ever

Then William, James and Charley, you
three,
Who was rocked upon the same mother’s
knee,
Oh, remember and don’t forget to pray
While salvation is offered to-day.
Look ur.to Jesus He has suffered for all.
And stands ready to save ns from the
fall.
Friends and relation, let’s join in the
throng.
Who is trying to do the right and shun
the wrong,
For that is the way that leads up to the

Though many wreckers on the way do

Thousands have gone and entered the
