What’s become of the Buchanan
dramatic Club? Has it gone in¬
to winter quarters?
All legal tender money is flab—
there never was nor never will be
any other kind.
Mrs. E. H. Burden, of Huey, was
visiting hero this week, the guest-
of her daughter, Mrs. R. P. Shep¬
ard.
It requires more talent, indus¬
try and persistence to get work to
do now-a-days than it does to do
the job after it is secured.
A man looking for a job ot work
is^a- pitiable object, and the.neces¬
sity of having to hunt for work is
an indictment against civilization.
Rev. Flournoy Payne, pastor of
the Christian church at Tallapoo-

Now that we have *«rb candi¬

would like to hear from these gen¬

do for the up-bailding of the town
should they be elected chief exec¬

Mr. Art Whisteiihnnt i. one A of

the country. He informed a Trib¬
une scribe lgst week that he had
made, this year, with three horses,
SO bales of cotton, 300 bushels of
corn, besides his potatoes, syrup?
etc. Where is the man in the
county that can beat this? Trot
him out, for we want to know who
he, is. i,
At neatly every court some one
who has a grievance (oftten tim$p
political) against his neighbor
about some trifling matter, goes
before the grand jury and seeks to
“get even” by having said neigh-
bor indicted on some sort of a
charge. Thip only puts good peo¬
ple to trouble, runs the county to
unnecessary expense, and encour¬
ages a worthless class of people tq
be always annoying their neigh¬
bors. And from the number 1 of
bills found by the recent grand
jury, we are made to believe that
body was more careful in the
matter of finding bills, and exam¬
ining into the character of those
coming before it, than many of
its predecessors

Thanks to Bro.-Jud Barry for a

It yon will but take a peep into
the hog pen of Mr. A, J. Stewart
you will see a sight that will con¬

successfully raised in Buchanan.
If farmer . • r, in Haralson

otherwise docs not. Why not do
this? .. .
