GHARLKB WARREN Exonerated Before The Grand Lodge K. Ot P. CHARGES WITHDRAWN And The Gallant Grand Chan cellor Happy. Fitzgera’, Ga., March 11. —There ja general rejoicing here tonight. Charley Warren has been ex onera ed and is in thejhands of his friends. The charges preferred by Millen lodge against Charles R. Warren, grand chancellor of the Knights of Pythias grand lodge of Georgia, for neglect of duty, were withdrawn yesterday. This action was thought best by all parties concerned. The following statement was given to your correspondent. The tribunal met at Fitzgerald on Wednesday, March 10th, com posed of the grand officers of the grand lodge to try the charges ot indictment prefered against C. R. Warrn'j, grand chandler, by Millen ledge. No. 56. for neglect of duty. When the trib unal met Milieu lodge, through W. V. Rev. L. M. Troutman of Trion, is shaking hands with his numer ous friends here today. Messrs W. N, Cambell and Ber ry Cothran went down to Cedar town on business today. Mrs Lizzie Terhune, of Buford Ga. is the guest of her s»n Mr Cornelius Terhune in East Rome Miss Annie Pruden will leave for Rome the 251 h of this month ti visit several weeks. —Dat'On Citizen. The many friends ot Mr. Henry Smith will be regret to learn that he is been quite unwell for the past several days. Mr. J. M. Henry passed through the city today inroute to his home at Cave Spring, after some weeks on the load . Miss Minnie Cleghorn who has been visiting mfs.R.T, Armstrong in East Rome has returned to her home at Summerville. The Atlanta Constitution, usu ally in Rome for late breakfast was four hours shy today arriving, however, for an early dinner. Miss Gertrude Knight, a charm ing young lady of Cedartown is the guest of Miss Berta Maddox. Miss Knight is quite a favorite in Rome. Mr. Henry Forsyth left today for Oklahoma Territory where he will reside in the future, He will be joined by Mrs Forsyth next month. Mr. G. B. Ecker of Atlanta, is in the city. Mr. Ecker is one of the cleverest and most popular young railroad men in the South. He enjoys an extensive acquain tance in Rome. Walter Griffin has returned from a very pleasant visit to friends and relatives in South Carolina. He was accompanied by his litt'e cousin Mies Minnie Lou Roberts. She will enter Shorter College. Also at the same time and place, these parts of lots Nos. 121 and 124 in the Coosa divis ion of the city of Rome Georgia, beginning at a point in the line of the outside edge of the north east wall us the brick building known as as the Rainey, now Wooten livery stable, and fifty feet from Broad street; thence southeast along that line and the extension thereof to East First street; thence northeast along East First street twenty feet to the Armstrong hotel property ; thence at right angles northeast along the line of said hotel prop erty to a point ninety feet from Broad street; thence southwest parallel with Broad street eight feet; thence at right angles and parallel with the line of said hotel property to a point fifty feet from Broad street to the be ginning point.
