The plant had only recently been rebuilt from an explosion one year ago- never SO much cotton. A Notable Statement From The New Orleans Exchange. New Orleans, La., March 18. i -The most interesting feature in Secretary Hester’s weekly New Orleans Cotton Exchange statement, is that it shows more cotton marketed during the six montlh and 18 days that have elapsed of this season than has ever been moved in any year known to the history of the trade. In round figures, 9,975,- 000 bales have been brought in to sight this season, while the largest commercial crop hereto fore recorded (that of 1894-95) I was 0,901,000 bales.
