A BIG HOUSE
Delighted by Little Miss Van
Lassie Last Night,
Despite the inclemency of the
weather, Miss Van Tussle, the
gifted little actress, was greeted
at Nevin’s last night by an ex
ceptionally large an lienee.
That she succeeded in pleasing
those who were present was sat
isfactorily evidenced by the gen
erous rounds of applause that
she won—not by soubrette tricks
but—by splendid acting.
Her role, that of Camille, was
a most difficult one, but she was
easily equal-to it, and with her
excellent support she established
her popularity in this city.
Tonight she appears in the
role of “A Fair Southerner” ami
it roes without saying that she
will please and delight her audi
ence.
She is a star ami has in her
support many artists of of genu
ine merit and a moonfaced man
who sings doublp tongued.
The company, which is book
ed for one week, is one of the
best, if not the most excellent
combination, playing at popular
prices, now on the road.

THE MIND IS a DISEASE
PRODUCER.
“We know that a congested
liver produces gloom, perhaps
leading to suicide ; another kind
of gloom is perhaps due to a con
gested spleen ; a disorderly heart
produces apprehension of com
ing danger ; certain intestinal
conditions produce fear; morbid
conditions of other organs' mar
the sense of strengjh and man
manhood or womanliness. We
know also a few converse truths :
That gloom or despair may in
duce jaundice ; that goo 1 news
will make the heart beat vigor
ously ; that cheerfulness will
calm and regulate its beat; that
fear and anxiety may paralyze
digestion.. ” —Dr. Herbert A.
Coryn, in National Review.
■ We also know beyond any
■ doubt that Beecham’s Pills, the
established and staple liver reg-

of the human body 7 that congest

they are known proverbially to
be “worth a guinea a box.”

THE ALASKA GOLD PLACER MACHINE MININGCOMPANY
Capital stock .$5,000,000 —full paid—andnon-asseesable.Promises to be
as good as the Beel Teleph ne, Westinghouse Ai,r Brake, Grapho
phone or Ph- nograph and other similar industrial enterprises which
re paying thousands in profits to their shareholders.
This is a gindustrial rather than a Mining Company. We hav*
he only Hydraulic Machine Mining System (patented)that will work
in the frozen ground of the Klondike and the Northwest, where we
take our machines and extract the gold from the claims of others,
just as thrashing m-'chines <-;re taken into the wheat country to
hresh out the farmer’s wheat. One of our machines does the work
of over 1,000 men each day and we save the 40% of gold that is usual
ly lost by other methods, so it can readily be seer, what enormous
profits we will earn in the fabulously rich gold mines of the Klondike
and the Northwest, with which every one must be acquainted.
Every prospector th re is our prospector, for he must eventually
come to us to have his claim worked. Therefore we believe we
shall in time be pay in as large dividends as the world-famous en
terprisss mentioned above. Ours is a similar industrial stock whicli
an only be had for a li nite 1 time at th i very low price of $2.50
or $lO 00 share.
