THE ORPHANS • Six States Represented in The Recent Conference. f MUCH GOOD ACCOMPLISHED A Great Movement In The Right Direction. The Orphans Home Conference jus' he d in Atlanta was a decided success. About forty homes for destitute children were represent ed not only By consecrated but workers whose wide awake brains are seeking new and betterr meth ods of bringing out the largest manhood possible. The intense love for ihe worst outcast was voiced by every one. The citi zens must help these strugaln g Homes with building and equip ment and support, for th* y save society from ninny a criminal. The noble addresses of Doctors Jacobs, Muniferd, Boone, Stewa-t, Waddell, Senn, Lawrence and others were capped by an appeal to these State to ste that refnrmaties for the young crimi nals were founded, that we might make good citizens of them, and not educate them more deeply in crime by ourp resent methods. Rv. Dr. W. W . Landrum spoke with great power of reformations and a committe was appointed to press the matter. Mr. George Mull called atten tion to the facr that so many chil dren were being reared to la ziness and worthlessness by being allowed to stay in onr poor house The conference reso'ved that the people must be brought to rea'ize the injury to these helpless chil d m, ai d provide huntsf). t em where the models will lilt them up. The use of the surgeon’s knife is be coming so general, resulting fatally in such a large number of cases, as to occasion general alarm. Mr. William Walpole, of Walshtown, South Dakota, writes; “About three years ago, there came under ] cry left eye a little blotch about the /"* %. It grew rapidly, and fl yg shooting pains ran K 3 * n every direction. Read ing of the many cures made by S. S. S., I determined to give that medicine a trial, and after I had taken it a few days, the cancer became irritated and began to discharge. This after awhile ceased, leaving a small scab, which finally dropped off, and only a healthy little scar remained to mark the place where the destroyer had held full sway. A Real Blood Remedy.
