F
First Presbyterian Church
Crowded With Friends.
At 6 -30 o’clock Tuesday even
ly in the First Presbyterian
church, Anniston, occurred one
oft he prettiest weddings that
ever took place in that city, the
contracting partiesg bein Mr.
Alexander Sutherland and Miss
D’Estelle Smith, two of Annis
ton’s most popular young people.
The church was brilliantly
lighted with small but innumer
able gas lights and tastefully
decorated with pot plants, ferns
and roses with an effect that
was beautiful.
Long before the appointed
hour for the ceremony the spa
cious church was crowded with
the many friends and admirers
of these two well known young
people.
Miss Rebecca Rudicil was
maid of honor and Mr. L. C.
Hussey best man.
The other attendants were :
Messrs. Fred Blackman, H.
L Cater and Hamilton Bowie.
Misses Annie Curry, Carrie
Smith and Ethel Ledbetter.
Major John 11. Allen, the
bride’s uncle gave the bride
away.
The wedding was a bright
and happy occasion. The beauti
ful springtime without and with
in doors, visible in green trees
and soft air and April blossoms
seemed to symbolize the happy
youth of the two young people
who begin life in its April sea
son. 1 ■
The bridesmaids carried ex
quisite boqnets of Easter lillies.
Rev. Donald McQueen pe;-
formed the ceremony in a most
impressive manner.
Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland left
over the Southern Ry,, for New
Orleans at 7 :I5 with a shower
of congratulotions and rice.
Ihe presents received were
beautiful and many.

as hereditary Cancer was incurable.
“At this crisis, I was advised to try
S.S.S., and in a short while the Cancer
