In war and in peace, in public
station and in private life, .Mien
D. Candler has proven himself
a true man of the people, and a
good citizen. Yesterday his fel

leave no doubt of the place he
holds in their esteem and confi

to become an Englisman, he
changed his Bulgarian name,
Grozadin, for Gladstone.
