Southern passenger train killed
Mr.Bletcher Hayes.
Mr. Hayes in company with bis
con and Pat Evans, was return
ing frem a visit to his father near
Summerour’s io Murray coun'y,
and while crossing the track in
North Dalton over what is known
as Bearden’s crossirg, was killed,
also his two mules.
M r. Hays moved to Dalton some
tnn« in the spring, and had been
hauling stone for the ne.v jail
building, but today expected to go
to work removing dirt at the
Crown Cotton Mill,
He is a son of Mr-. Jim Hayes,
of Murray county, and was about
hirty years of age. He leaves a
wife and three children to mourn
his sudden taking away.
His remains were taken this
morning to Murry county for buri
al near Summerour’s chapel . The
