Lovers* Tragedy,
Philadelphia, Aug. 19.—John
Hale, 36, shot aud seriously
wounded Miss Ida Bowers, 20,
at her home in Ridgeboro last
night. Hale then turned the-pis
tol upon himself and fired, <the
bullet entering hit head. Roth
victims were taken to the hos
pital, where Hale died.; this
morning. The young woman’s
condition is critical. The tragedy
is the result of a lovers’ quarrel
caused by Hale’s jealousy.
